Operation Policy

Based on a policy by the Majestic Theatre Commission recommended to and adopted by Corvallis City Council

Mission Statement

Majestic Theatre Management, a non-profit member-owned corporation, is committed to preserving and operating a quality facility in a fiscally sound manner to meet the performing arts and civic needs of the community.

Artistic Expression

Free artistic expression shall be encouraged by:

• Permitting the public to use the facility without discrimination.
• Allowing events which are free from censorship.

Service

We will be responsive to the needs of the users and public by:

• Permitting the theatre to be used for a variety of activities with an emphasis on the local performing arts.
• Treating people with respect and in a friendly,courteous, and professional

Quality

The facility shall be an amenity which enhances the community by:

• Developing and achieving high standards in the physical maintenance of the theatre and its equipment.

• Ensuring that groups adhere to the adopted guidelines for using the facility.

Support

The theatre shall generate revenues to support its operations and at the same time be affordable to user by:

• Obtaining financial support from a variety of sources including but not limited to:
  • Endowment Interest
  • Rentals
  • Donations
  • Fundraising
  • Grants
  • Tuitions
  • Admissions
• An account shall be established and funded to amortize the equipment for the purpose of paying for its maintenance and eventual replacement.

Affordability

It is the goal of the theatre to generate revenues to support operations and at the same time be affordable to Users. Rental rates and fees will be established with this in mind.
