Audio Services

The Majestic Theatre uses an infra-red system which sends a signal from a microphones hanging at the front of the stage. Patrons who are deaf or hard of hearing may use their own headset from home or may checkout a headset at the box office by leaving their name and phone number.

Sign language interpretors are sometimes provided for productions and are the responsibility of the producer renting the theatre.

Visual Services

At this time, only certain types of performances are offering this service. Some types of performances do not lend themselves to audio description as well as others. Generally, plays and operas are good for this service. Dance and music concerts are not. Over 30 different groups produce shows at the Majestic, and they each decide whether to offer this service, using a volunteer who puts in many hours to prepare. To find out if a performance offers audio description, please review the publicity for the show, contact the producer of the show, or call the Majestic at 758-STAR (7827).

Building Access

The Majestc Theatre is wheelchair accessible and offers the following features:

• Handicap parking within half a block from the theatre
• Street level entry
• Wheelchair seating with excellent view and sound (see seating chart below)
• Elevator access to dressing rooms and 3rd floor
• Stage access
• Restroom access
• Drinking fountain access
