Meet Executive Director Corey Pearlstein
The Majestic’s new Executive Director Corey Pearlstein comes to Corvallis from Philadelphia where he served as the Managing Director for InterAct Theatre Company, an award-winning professional theater dedicated to staging new work exploring political and cultural themes. InterAct Theater is also home to an award-winning educational outreach program.
Prior to Philadelphia, Pearlstein worked in New York as an Associate Producer for Epic Theater Company and Culture Project. Pearlstein most recently worked with Director and Producer Will Pomerantz on This Side of Paradise, a new Off-Broadway musical about Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald. He worked as Business Manager for the international multi-media theater group The Builders Association, Marianne Weems Artistic Director. He served as the Line Producer for Continuous Cities which premiered at BAM in Brooklyn, NY in 2008 and later toured major venues and festival throughout the United States
and the world.
Pearlstein founded 3101 Arts, an artistic co-operative dedicated to fostering new collaborations with theater, music, dance and visual artists from New York, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and Philadelphia. 3101 Arts projects included the multi-media performance poem And My Name Ain’t Peaches by Lisa McCree, Sonic Tales with the Seattle based performance group Degenerate Art Ensemble, as well as many smaller solo works, readings and workshops.
Pearlstein has served as Producing Artistic Director for the multi-disciplinary venue Consolidated Works in Seattle, WA, the Lord Leebrick Theatre in Eugene, OR, and The Theatre Outlet in Allentown, PA. Notable productions directed by Pearlstein in Eugene include Accidental Death of An Anarchist, Trigger Kids, How I Learned to Driveand Escape from Happiness. Pearlstein has directed projects throughout the United States and produced over fifty professional productions. He is also a seasoned events producer, promoter and multi-arts curator. A short list of the artists he has worked with includes Guillermo Gomez-Pena and La Pocha Nostra, Amiri Barak, Tim Miller, Tsidii LeLoka, The Bread and Puppet Theater, Gary Hill, Trimpin, Negativland, CoArt Dance, Dance Theatre X, Degenerate Art Ensemble, Circus Contraption, Paul Rucker Large Ensemble, Peter Mulvey and Common Market.
Pearlstein has trained in devising work with Guillermo Gomez-Pena, Siti Company, and Tectonic Theater. His other work experience includes administration, marketing and management positions with The Westport Country Playhouse, Circle Repertory Theater, and Theatre Communications Group.

Sally Duncan
Sally Duncan is the policy research director of the Institute for Natural Resources at Oregon State University, with a background in journalism and history. She has been a long-term supporter of community theatre, green spaces, and food/housing concerns, and brings to the board a strong interest in community collaboration, innovative partnerships, and fun at work.
Charlotte Headrick
Charlotte J. Headrick holds a Ph.D. in theatre from the University of Georgia and her B.A. and M.A. are from the University of Tennessee. She is a professor of theatre at Oregon State University. In her long career in theatre, she has acted in or directed over a hundred plays. A member of Actors Equity, she has been awarded numerous awards from the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival for her directing. A recipient of the Kennedy Center Medallion for outstanding service to regional theatre, she was also awarded the Oregon State College of Liberal Arts Excellence Award and the Oregon State Elizabeth Ritchie Award for outstanding undergraduate teaching. Her research specialty is Irish Theatre and she has directed a number of American Premieres of Irish plays and has published and presented widely in this area, nationally, and internationally.
Ian Johnson
Ian Johnson has lived in Corvallis off and on for 25 years, and is interested in helping to shape a comprehensive approach to the arts at the Majestic in cooperation with other venues. His company Geologie has done a lot of work with nonprofits over the last decade, specifically in branding, naming, design, and general marketing efforts. He is interested in bringing more music, films, and other events to the Majestic Theatre. Ian is also co-owner of Luc restaurant in downtown Corvallis.
Daniel Rayfield
Daniel Rayfield is a resident of Corvallis and an attorney in Albany. Dan became involved in community theatre and is interested in supporting the arts.
