Call for Volunteers: Crew for Aladdin!

Crew Wanted For “Aladdin!”

We are looking for two Assistant Stage Managers (ASMs) and a minumum of four Stage Hands for “Aladdin!”.  Our production is a fairly technical show, with some aspects seldom seen in local theater, including a soap-suds scene (with real soap!), and a UV scene with four actors on a flying carpet six feet up, manuvering around stars, planets and clouds and above desert landscapes.  Safety and reliability are paramount and training will be provided.

ASMs and Stage Hands will be required for the following  rehearsal dates:

Monday, September 21st through Thursday, September 24th, 7:00-9:30pm for initial on-stage rehearsals.

Sunday, September 27th, time TBD for dry tech.

Monday, September 28, through Thursday, October 1st, for dress rehearsals. Crew call: 6:30pm.

Performance dates (with crew call times):

Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd – 6:30pm.  Sunday, October 4th – 1:30pm.

Thursday, October 8th, Friday, October 9th and Saturday, October 10th – 6:30pm. Sunday, October 11th – 1:30pm.

Thursday, October 15th, Friday , October 16th and Saturday, October 17th – 6:30pm. Sunday, October 18th – 1:30pm.

Strike will immediately follow the last performance.  

Assistant Stage Managers (Right and Left) will additionally be required for several rehearsals between Mondays through Thursdays during the last two weeks of rehearsals in September.  When on-stage, they will be on headsets linked with the Stage Manager in the Tech Booth, who will control the show.  They are the main interface between the actors and the rest of the team, and the Stage Left ASM will be in overall charge of everything happening on the stage itself.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn how a technical show comes together on stage.   If the rehearsals so far are any indication, this promises to be an incredible show!
