Meet the cast of Other Desert Cities:
Other Desert Cities is Diane Slamp’s (Brooke Wyeth) fourth appearance in a MRTC production. She recently portrayed Annie Cannon in Silent Sky as well as roles in Women Playing Hamlet, and Sweet Delilah Swim Club. She has several pending release projects including a radio show production of The Secret of the Chimneys for Albany Civic Theater and a short film project for Mazama Entertainment that will be in film festivals this fall.
Johanna Spencer (Polly Wyeth) made her first appearance in Majestic Readers' Theater Company in the February 2015 production of Dead Man's Cell Phone. She has also appeared in a few other MRTC productions as well as writing and directing for MRTC. She has been acting and directing in the mid-valley since 1982 and is a graduate of the Oregon State University theater program. She resides in Albany with her spouse, Rus Roberts and is semi-retired after 35 years with the federal government.
Michael Wren (Lyman Wyeth) loves to sing as well as act in drama. He played Frank Sr. in Catch Me If You Can, Grandpa in Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang, and Narrator/Mysterious Man in Into the Woods all for the Majestic Community Theatre. He is a steadfast participant in MRTC productions, this year appearing in Bloomsday, If I Forget and This Random World.
Ryan McWayne (Trip Wyeth) This is Ryan's 14th production with the Majestic Theatre, but the first one on her stage. Previously he was in the Majestic Reader's Theatre Company production of The Heidi Chronicles and directed the Majesticpiece production of Sherlock Holmes. Since May 2020, he was a part of 11 other Majesticpiece shows. Ryan has also acted, and directed, with the Lebanon Association of Theatre Arts (LAFTA) since 2013.
Michaela Lonning (Silda Grauman) made her first appearance as a Majestic Readers' Theater Company member in our May production of This Random World.Her interest in acting began in high school plays and after watching several MRTC productions she decided to audition for a role on the Majestic Video Stage. Michaela lived for several years in Corvallis, and even though she now resides in Eugene, she continues to visit Corvallis for its small-town charm.

The price is on a sliding scale; you can pick what you pay for tickets. Suggested prices range from $10 to $20 dollars. A $2.00 processing fee will be added to all tickets purchased online.
