We had twenty-nine actors try out for roles at the Summer auditions and nineteen were cast, seven of them for the first time in a Reader’s Theatre production.
All three directors worked hard to select the best ensemble for their show. There were many difficult choices. Some men and women trying out would have been selected except for their time conflicts. One director wished she had more parts in her play. If you weren’t selected, please don’t believe it was because of your ability. Sometimes the casting of plays is just not fair. That is why I ask my directors to make sure the audition is fair.
Everyone who tried out was given an opportunity to show their best work. I encourage all of you to consider trying out for our next three plays that will be announced around June 15th with auditions on August 5-7, 2019.
